Local government responds to people who show up
You don't need any special standing to weigh in on what the Board decides. Here's how to find your district, follow along, and be heard.
1. Find your district
Use the county's "Who Is My Commissioner?" lookup to see which of the 13 districts you live in and who represents you.
2. Read the agenda before the meeting
Full BCC and committee agendas are published in advance through the county's legislative system. Our Meeting Tracker highlights select items, but the full agenda always has more.
3. Speak at public comment
Members of the public can address the Board on agenda items. You can attend the meeting in person, or, when listed on the meeting notice, leave a voice message ahead of time on the phone number provided for that meeting.
4. Watch a meeting
Meetings are webcast when available, so you can follow along without attending in person.
5. Contact your commissioner's office
Each commissioner's office can take calls, emails, and meeting requests from constituents in their district. Start from the directory below.
6. Follow along between meetings
